Each time we take the camper out, I think it's my favorite trip. And this was true for this experience. This was our first state park, and it did not disappoint. There were over 60 campsites and maybe 20 campers there. So, it was very private. The bathrooms were so clean, as was the entire campground. It is on a manmade lake with cabins at the end. There are beware of bear signs but no luck seeing one. We went to the Poverty Point Mounds which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Very impressive.
