Poverty Point, Delhi, LA (Visiting Again)

September 24 - 26

One of our favorite places to camp.  We were here in January and just had to return.  We got the same exact spot as last time, and it was great.  Gorgeous weather - sunny and cool at night.  Again, we didn’t see any bears, but oh well.  We ate at Thomson’s Drugstore in Delhi on Friday afternoon. They make chocolate sodas, but it was just ok. Great camp host and the sites are well- spaced. The bathroom was spotless with the laundry room being open. There is a playground and splash pad for the kids.  Saturday we just hung around and ate out at the local golf course at Champion’s Bistro.  They make the best nacho plate I’ve ever eaten. I had it in January and had to try it again.  Just as good as before.  We left Sunday and had a pleasant drive home.  No one, and I mean no one wears a mask in north Louisiana.  Such a shame. Beautiful country, though.
